Sanctum Cay Mission
Hey there ive recently gotton to Sanctum Cay and ive tried to complete it several times with henchies and real party.ive gotton through the longway, killed that lvl 21 bone dragon, seen the vizier, took the spirit where it needed to be.kill all the white mantle on the beach, but when it comes to killing the white mantle on the pier without letting the vizier die every time as soon as we start our attack we instantly all die, its insane.pls can yall tell me how yall have completed this difficult mission. ty ahead of time

Do you instantly die, or do you just get killed fast? If it's the first, it sounds like a glitch. If it's the second, try some better team tactics; focus on one group at a time, make sure people call targets (and attack the called targets,) and try to have good healing.

Are you doing the bonus while doing the mission? If so, that's probably why.

When I beat it with a human party, we all basically took up guard posts on the two approaches the Mantle guys make. Fortunately, they came at us one group at a time for the most part. Any class that can slow/weaken enemies makes this part much easier than it otherwise can be. Oh, and for Rangers in your party, TAKE THE HIGH GROUND. You get pretty respectable range from your bows if you do that, even beyond their normal capacity. Just concentrate on one target at a time to win.
Then again, they may have changed how the Mantle approaches since then, in which case my advice would be entirely void and irrelevant. |

Don't do the bonus and mission at the same time. Just do the mission and it will be easy. After you beat it you can go back and do the bonus.

ok, heres the problem youre having.
youre leaving the pier unguarded while you escort the spirit. while youre escorting the spirit, the white mantle ar going to the pier, lots and LOTS of white mantle. after you escort the spirit, you go back to the pier. once at the pier you have to protect the vizier. the vizier spawns right in the middle of like 20+ white mantle and dies instantly. since you have to protect him as part of the mission, when he dies, your party fails the mission and dies. youve done the bonus already, so dont do it. just run the mission, easy. |

Just to commisserate with the OP I will have to admit that I've failed this mission 6 times now trying to do it with henchmen, once dieing a few seconds before the ship appeared. (I"m 18 ele/war). I've reconfigured my character so many times trying to finish this mission I have forgotten what he was when I first arrived in SC (this is my 1st character). Now I know the easy way would be to group but that's difficult for me since I haven't grouped yet in GW and I don't want to inflict my group noobness on anyone else and being stubborn I don't want to give up but I am beginning to wonder if I can do this mission. The level 15 henchmen are just too weak when you lack a way to heal. (being a nec or monk secondary would of made this an easy mission as I have just missed finishing it 3 of the 6 times I have failed). I haven't tried the bonus obviously but I have no problems with the rest of the mission (the 21 dragon included which I have killed on all 6 tries) and the only problem are the massed warriors who charge the dock and once alesia dies the rest of us fall quickly. Anyway, I feel your pain and I will continue the fight.

After failing a 7th time I ended up in a group (of real folks) and the mission was pretty easy (my first time in Amnoon) despite a total lack of team work, mass confusion at the end and a back up healer type doing all the healing. (thanks Assault and Matsu (sp))
